Dr. Jyoti Batra is an accomplished academic leader and researcher with nearly three decades of experience in biomedical sciences, research administration, and scholarly publishing. She currently serves as Dean (Research) and Professor of Biochemistry at Santosh Deemed-to-be University, where she also heads the UNESCO Bioethics Unit.
Her academic and professional journey spans prestigious institutions such as Lady Hardinge Medical College and the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. Over the years, she has actively contributed to national and international research councils, ethics committees, and editorial boards of reputed peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Batra has authored more than 145 peer-reviewed research publications and book chapters, and has successfully supervised numerous Ph.D. scholars and postgraduate students. Her core areas of expertise include neuro-biochemistry, oxidative stress, molecular mechanisms of disease, and research ethics.
In recognition of her outstanding contributions to biomedical research, she has received several accolades, including the William Harvey Research Award (2015). She has also played a key role in building and strengthening research ecosystems within academic institutions by promoting ethical research practices, interdisciplinary collaboration, and global research visibility.
As Chief Editor of Archives of Multidisciplinary Medical Research (AMMR), Dr. Batra provides visionary leadership to uphold the highest standards of peer review, publication ethics, and editorial independence, in alignment with COPE and international best practices. Through her association with NextPUB, she offers strategic mentorship to researchers and institutions, guiding them across the entire publication lifecycle.
Her overarching vision is to empower Indian and global academia to produce ethically sound, high-impact research that contributes meaningfully to scientific knowledge and societal advancement.
Dr. Akshitha H M is a medical professional, writer, and healthcare educator with a strong interest in academic publishing and scientific communication. She brings a multidisciplinary perspective to editorial work, combining clinical knowledge with expertise in medical writing, content development, and health education.
Dr. Akshitha has been actively involved in training and mentoring healthcare learners and is committed to promoting evidence-based practice, research integrity, and high-quality scholarly dissemination.
As an Associate Editor, she contributes to maintaining rigorous peer-review standards, improving manuscript quality, and strengthening the bridge between clinical practice and academic research.
